Wheeeere's Wall-E?

I've been waiting for Wall-E's release since I saw the trailer months ago but I can't seem to find it. Finally, when I saw it's been released in the US last June, I though it should be showing here in the Philippines too.
So there I was checking movie listings online for the different cinemas yet I can't find any information.
True enough, Wall-E hasn't been released in the Philippines yet. Hmm.. curious.
Movie releases are usually simultaneous or at the very least, within a few days of each other. I waited another week since I couldn't find anything even on IMDB. I saw a forum that showed the following dates only:
still no Philippines... AND the dates are so far apart! I couldn't tell where in between we'll get to see it here. I highly doubt we WON'T ever see it because it's been showing in our trailers and I'm beginning to see posters in the malls. It's about to be released this week or next week but what bugs me the most is why it's been scheduled this way.
It opened in the US June ... and the latest it will open is in Japan (which is usually first in line when releases are simultaneous because ofo the time difference) in December!
This used to happen way when I was still a kid, about umm.. say 20 years ago? I remember waiting for the Batman movies to be released about a month or two late because we weren't so advanced yet in acquiring movies. This doesn't happen anymore. In fact, because of the time difference, we saw Harry Potter movies and the Dark Knight at least 12 hours ahead of the US.
So why is Wall-E late?
hmmm.... anyone has answers? kindly enlighten me.
