What's the Result of Mixing Rock and Roll, Vampires, and Chicks? Suck!

Suck is a movie. It's one flick that brings together rock and roll, vampires, and chicks. It's got real rock and roll legends and artists, too. There's Alice Cooper, Moby, Henry Rollins, Iggy Pop, and Carol Pope. There's also Malcolm MacDowell, although not a rocker, he still looks like one with his looks. In this movie, he's got an eye patch and a crossbow, and you already know what that means.
The plot of Suck is really simple. It's about a rocker bass player who gets more than he bargained for by hooking up with a vampire. Of course that's when the trouble begins - and the fun as well. With it's horror theme, you'd think it will be scary, but no, it's more the morbidly fun movie where you get to see pale singing chicks sprouting fangs and eyes lighting up like neon signs. There's also plenty of blood and body parts - attached or not to the body. Of course, you get to see all these things to rock and roll music, which is really great, especially with rock legends in the movie cast.
Suck is simple yes, and caters to the basic feelings and emotions of viewers - in other words, it's not deep, but it also has special effects - only that they're the kind that reminds you of those done in the eighties. Yes, it's crude, but it kind of gives a nostalgic effect that takes you back in time to those days when the Lost Boys were popular and Roddy McDowall was the "in character" as the reluctant vampire hunter in the Fright Night movies.
Written and directed by Rob Stefaniuk, who's appeared in television shows in the 1990s and 2000s, Suck is more comedy than horror and a tribute to rock and roll and the silly stereotypes (including the crazy hairstyles and makeup) that go with it. If you love rock and roll and the less serious goth experience, it's perfect. It's also the kind of movie that you'd want to see at night with a group of friends over some beer, some popcorn, and some other stuff you might need.
