Shark Night 3D: The Final Destination of Shark Movies

Horror fans should already be familiar with the Final Destination series. They’ve come to expect the unexpected when it’s about death by the unknown. But now, the makers of Final Destination have come up with a movie where the cause of death is certain—by the jaws of a shark!
Shark Night 3D is all about a group of young people trapped in an island with a hungry shark that seems bent on tormenting the group and getting a bite or two out of the naughty kids. Yep, it’s always the naughty ones who get to die first in this kind of horror movie, and they have a whole lake house for themselves for the weekend. The shark on the other hand, has them all for itself. The group starts out as seven, but this number is fast whittled away and the group ends up with much less.
The setting of the movie, the Louisiana Gulf, sets the undertone for the events that take place. As the title of the movie hints, lots of the attacks happen at night. But really, it’s actually because the producers expect audiences to watch this movie in late night theaters. Now how’s this for a novel idea? A nocturnal shark in a lake that’s supposed to be fresh water!
It’s supposed to be a weekend in paradise miles from shore; all fun and games—but then the fun takes a turn for the worse and the world of the young vacationers turns upside down with the first victim claimed by the shark. But their troubles don’t stop there, evil is afoot—and it’s something that only a human can perpetrate. How will it end? Will the shark end up the loser or is it a situation where no one wins?
Shark Night 3D stars Chris Carmack, Alyssa Diaz, Joshua Leonard, Donal F. Logue, Katharine McPhee, Dustin Milligan, Joel David Moore, Sarah Paxton, and Chris Zylka. But most of the characters will die anyway, so it really doesn’t matter whether you remember them or not. This movie is written and Jesse Studenburg and Will Jayes. It’s directed by David R. Ellis.
