There’s a second Sex and the City movie and this time, the story will move around Carrie played by Sarah Jessica Parker. It’s all about girls, glam, glitz, and of course, guys. Sex and the City 2 is a movie for the girls, what they do, or like to do, and the problems they have to deal with as they go about their business of getting fulfillment in life.

Carrie is the center of attention in this movie and she takes the other girls for a ride and adventure away from bustling New York and into unlikely places like a Middle Eastern desert. The story is a kind of coming of age tale for middle-aged women (looking as good as they did a decade ago, of course) who have “been there and done that” and suddenly realize that there’s more to life to be experienced. After doing the same things for years, Carrie decides to leave things behind for a change.

Sex and the City 2 is more about the story of friends rather than the story of the situations they get into like what the series had focused on. It’s a road trip in life that showcases all the things that girls could ever want in a glamorous life. It’s really made for summer when all you can think about is to go out into the world and have good fun. Feel good? Definitely, and this one may be a sleeper where the dreams really shine.

Like in the trailer that shows Carrie doing odd things and getting away with it, Sex and the City 2 will definitely “carrie” viewers away in a world where women can be what they want and who they want without anyone telling them what to do. Girls just want to have fun and all the characters in this movie will definitely have fun that will jump out to the audience.

If you are a fan of the series and the first movie, you should definitely see Sex and the City 2. If the first one was all about going back to story lines left off from the series, this one is about moving forward into new territory, coming in from the past, but with the same old faces that will guarantee a hot entertainment for the summer that will make you want to go on a fun vacation yourself with some friends. As Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) says in the movie, "Sometimes, you just have to get away with the girls."

Sex and the City 2 also has a soundtrack that many fans may find appealing may leave them feeling nostalgic for some reason. You may want to listen to it on your own summer vacation.
